Traffic statistics are not provided for domains for the following reasons:

There is no way of determining what traffic came from type-ins versus another source leading the visitor to the domain.

There is no reliable way of determining why someone picked a domain name in search engines as they usually look at the content abstract rather than the hyperlink.

There is no uniform formula for calculating domain value based on traffic; value remains in the eye of the buyer.

True hits vary based on the number of links on an entry page; unique visitors also do not account for return visitors.

Search engine rankings are based on paid advertisements first and good descriptions second.

Domains with "made up words" are never type-in unless heavily advertised (and one reason I don't buy made up names!) Many domains do not get picked up by search engines because they have only one main page, particularly parked ones, even when optimized because they are only single page.

Studies have shown virtually no one uses just one word without spaces in search engines; it is usually at least 3 words.

Auction houses, like Moniker, base traffic on the whole domain as 1-word, like "peanutbutter" instead of "peanut butter"

Parked domains decline over time because content, though dynamic, is not indexed; only the headers are indexed.

Virtual IP often filter large quantities of developed names in parental programs because many domains are tied to one IP.

And, finally, and most important:  Today's traffic is no indicator of future performance and cannot ever be guaranteed.

Many domainers have their own thoughts on traffic.  We all have programs we think are reliable for traffic calculation but when we study them we find the true faults.  We all have really good domains and some not so good.  Over time, we let the junk expire while we cultivate domains that pay their own way.  We still hang on to the ones we believe in our hearts have the best potential even when performance seems low.  And we all have had domains we wonder now why we bought in the first place.  It still comes down to what the buyer offers as to what is a good value for him.
